Get leaner, sleep better, and feel energized again.

A personalized approach to midlife health designed to help you understand what your body needs and build a sustainable foundation that works for the long haul.

Effortlessly Well

A personalized approach instead of another quick fix.

Effortlessly Well is a personalized health blueprint for women in perimenopause and menopause who are tired of doing everything "right" and still feeling stuck.

Instead of another restrictive diet, intense challenge, or short-term solution, the approach looks at the bigger picture — including metabolism, nourishment, hormones, stress, sleep, and the individual needs of your body.

The goal is to help you build a foundation that feels sustainable for the long haul, so you can feel stronger, more energized, more supported, and more at home in your body again.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Jess O'Shea — founder of Effortlessly Well.

I'm a proud mom of two grown sons, and health and fitness have been my passion for as long as I can remember. It's also where my career began. I started as a group fitness instructor, went on to coach CrossFit and become a personal trainer, and never stopped studying nutrition, training science, and every health trend that came along. I was the person others came to for answers. I was strong, lean, and disciplined. But like many women in this industry, my approach was built on restriction: eat less, cut sugar, push harder, never miss a workout.

Then, at 37, my body stopped following the rules I knew so well. Perimenopause arrived early, and it hit hard. I was exhausted but couldn't sleep, had anxiety, was bloated and inflamed, and gaining weight no matter what I did. Eventually my period disappeared altogether. I suspected Hashimoto's thyroiditis long before a doctor confirmed it. I tried medication, elimination diets, and even a strict autoimmune protocol. Everything I'd ever learned told me to try harder, and trying harder wasn't working.

What finally changed things was a completely different approach. I shifted my focus to fueling my body's energy needs and supporting my metabolism, thyroid function, hormones, and stress response, rather than fighting my body at every turn. Over years of experimentation, my health transformed. My sleep returned, my energy came back, my digestion settled, my anxiety around food disappeared, and I got stronger and leaner without overtraining or undereating. That journey led me to complete the mindbodygreen Peri/Menopause+ program, so I could pair what I've lived with evidence-based training. Today, as a proud Coach and Health Practitioner, I help women through this transition with the knowledge I wish I'd had years ago, so they can feel at home in their bodies again.

“That's why I created Effortlessly Well -to help women in perimenopause and menopause who are tired of quick fixes get to the root of their weight gain, exhaustion, and frustrating symptoms, and feel their best for the long term.”
